Major project you would like to highlight:
- Arcadia Bushland Reserve – this 9ha reserve is one of the best small bushland remnants in the region. The reserve supports plants and animals, which were once widespread and common in the region prior to clearing. Today only 2.67% of this vegetation type remains in Victoria. The Bushland Reserve in managed by Parks Victoria. Despite its small size, the reserve supports a high diversity of native trees, shrubs and ground covers including Grey Box, Red Gum, Buloke, Golden Wattle, Grey Parrot Pea, Mallee Bush Pea, Lemon Beauty Heads, Bulbine Lillie’s, Yam Daisies and Early Nancy’s.
The reserve is also home to a large number of woodland birds and provides a safe haven for a family of tree goannas, Sugar Gliders and owls
