The Dhurrigile and District Landcare group operates between Tatura to the North, Murchison to the south and Toolamba to the east. The are has a large dairy industry with some horticultre, alternative farming types and cropping.
The Dhurrinigle group has been focusing on several proejcts in the last few years with the highlights been the River to Basin project, Craouching Emu project and the education projects we conduct with the local primary schools.
Our Projects:
Crouching Emu Project
This projects aim is to create an environmental corridor along Dhurringile Road between the Midland Hwy and toolamba Rushworth Rd over a 5 year between 2006 and 2010.
This project ws instigated by the Dhurringiela nd District Landcare group along with local community groups and the City of Greater Shepparton.
Did you know that Dhurringile means Crounching Emu in the traditional language of the local Aboriginal people.
