The Sunday Creek/Sugarloaf Subcatchment group is a cooperative of four landcare groups: Glenaroua Land Management Group, Nulla Vale Pyalong West Landcare Group, Sunday Creek/Dry Creek Landcare Group and Willowmavin Landcare Group. The Group operates a gorse control and riparian revegetation program with funding through the Goulburn Broken Catchment Management Authority.

The Upper Goulburn Landcare Network (UGLN) is a collective of 14 landcare/land management groups in the Murrindindi Shire area, North-East Victoria. Groups that receive support from the UGLN include: Strath Creek, Kinglake, Flowerdale, Yea River (incl. Murrindindi), Cerberus Creek (Buxton), Molesworth, UT Creek (near Alexandra), Merton, Home Ck-Spring Ck (Yarck & Fawcett districts), Murrindindi Climate Network, Eildon Landcare, Yellow Ck-Dairy Ck (near Yea), East Killingworth and Ancona.

A new Landcare group has been formed in the Mansfield Shire. The Bonnie Doon Landcare group has been officailly started, complimenting the other four Landcare groups active in the shire. Encompassing Maindample, Glen creek, Dry creek, Maintongoon, and Woodfield; the group will be planning a number of Landcare related activities for the area over the coming months.

Dabyminga Catchment Cooperative

Dabyminga Catchment Cooperative (DCC) is the operational group for two Landcare Groups - Reedy Creek Landcare Group and Tallarook Landcare Group. The group is made up of landholders in the Reedy Creek/Dabyminga Creek Catchments, from the forests of Mount Disappointment and the Tallarook Ranges through to the Goulburn River near Tallarook. The Cooperative meets every two months at Tallarook. Projects include Paterson's Curse Control, establishment of the Tallarook Arboretum, protection of Tyaak Flora Reserve, weed removal and revegetation along Reedy Creek, and more. DCC currently holds State Government funds for subsidising the cost of herbicides used to control priority weeds in the Dabyminga catchment area. Priority weeds include: Gorse, Blackberry and Serrated Tussock.

Glenaroua Land Management Group

Glenaroua Land Management Group Inc. (GLMG) is one of the original Landcare Groups in the region (formed: July 1988). It is based in the lower catchments of Mollisons, Kurkuruc and Sunday Creeks, to where they join as Sugarloaf Creek before entering the Goulburn River. The Group also encompasses the upper catchment of the tributaries of Majors Creek south of the Puckapunyal. The Group has several projects involving protection and restoration of the land, particularly the steep Pyalong Hills. The Group works with Manningham Rotary Club on a special project to revegetate the hills: seed collected locally is grown in the Rotary Club's green house and planted onto hill sites in a single planting day that attracts over 150 members of Rotary Clubs across Melbourne. GLMG currently holds State Government funds for subsidising the cost of herbicides used to control priority weeds in the Dabyminga catchment area. Priority weeds include: Gorse, Blackberry and Serrated Tussock. Meetings are held on the third Thursday of February, May, August (AGM) and November at the Glenaroua Fire Shed.

Highlands

Set perched atop the misty mountain ridges between Avenel and Yea, Highlands Landcare group epitomises the spirit of community. With a strong social chapter, and commitment to integrated sustinable weed management for the protection of our beautiful bounding bushlands, Highlands Landcare has a great reputation. In particular it's annual Blackberry Saturday's are renowned, where Highlands Landcare members assist other Landcare groups around the region and state in managing their blackberries, in exchange for a friendly cricket match and BBQ afterwards! Recent 'Getting Bogged' field day attracted over 75 people interested in learning more about the ecology of our unique bogs. Ecology Australia botanists located the largest sub- alpine sphagnum moss wetland in Victoria in Highlands during recent surveys as well as many rare bog plants. Meet monthly at the Highlands Hall. The Group acts acts as the Steering Committee for the employment of the South West Goulburn Landcare Coordinator, with support from representatives from the Goulburn Broken Catchment Management Authority, Department of Primary Industries and Mitchell Shire Council.

Strath Creek

Strath Creek Landcare Group prides itself on being fully self-funded, with an allocation always made for a BBQ lunch and a bit of vino after a hard days tree-planting. The focus of the group is revegetation of the King Parrot Creek, with members assisting other members with fencing, spraying and planting. As part of this project, they have started a bird monitoring committee to highlight the importance of shrubby understorey in revegetation projects. Members get a wonderful sense of community as well as a local icon restored to its natural condition. The group has 63 members and growing.

Tallarook Landcare Group is a sub-group of Dabyminga Catchment Cooperative. Most members have land in the Dabyminga catchment from the gorge off Davis Road through Tallarook to the Goulburn River. Upper Hughes Creek

Landcare group covering the Upper Hughes Creek areas of Ruffy , Caveat & Terrip . Meets at the Terrip Rec Ground Hall twice yearly in conjunction with the Hughes Creek Catchment Collaborative. Granite tableland country with unique perched boggy wetlands and a healthy koala population. Assists all landholders with rabbit control - subsidized warren ripping and harbour removal with an excavator , weed control - subidized herbicide and revegetation projects - local plants grown annually by treeproject . Equipment for hire : 2 trailer mounted spray units , tree planting equipment .

Whiteheads Creek

Founded in 1986 Whiteheads Creek Landcare is one of the state oldest groups. Main projects in the past were soil erosion and salinity. Projects have covered tree plantations in recharge and discharge areas. Pasture establishment in saline areas. Salinity Trail and Watertable monitoring bores. Current projects include understorey restoration , wildlife corridors and treeplanting with the Murray Darling Rescue Scouts. The Rabbit Buster program offers assistance for with rabbit control. All landholders can apply for subsidized herbicide to control target weeds - gorse , blackberry , patto , chilean needle grass and bridal creeper . Meet held bi-monthly at the Whiteheads Creek Hall . Check the community notice board at the Fire Shed for meeting dates coming events.
