Mid Goulburn Broken Implmentation Committee Landcare Awards
The MGBIC Landcare award for excellence was recently given out at a celebration in Benalla.
Delatite Landcare AGM
Delatite Landcare Group held its AGM on Sunday 31st August at the new CFA hall at Piries. It was followed by a "Sustainable Property" walk and talk around Len and Jenny Foster's property and a shared lunch barbeque. Changing Climate Day postponed
Due to more extreme weather forecast for Friday 27th – 39 degrees and strong Northerly winds – we have decided to cancel Friday’s “Farming in a Changing Climate” Seminar. It appears the content is too topical for its own good! We plan to stage the day in cooler months, so please expect a call after the smoke has cleared.

Discussion paper for National Waste Policy released
The Federal Government has released a discussion paper: Draft National Waste Policy Framework - less waste more resources for public comment to help inform the development of the National Waste Policy framework.
Fire Recovery Volunteers Needed - Fencers Without Boundaries Project
The Upper Goulburn Landcare Network is running a clean-up program for fire-affected farms in the Murrindindi Shire. We are looking for volunteers to help in the clean-up phase - pulling out posts, rolling up wire and general farm clean-up. Dates as follows: March 30th and 31st, April 6th, 7th, 17th, 18th, 20th, 21st, 27th and 28th. If you are able to work one whole day 9.30am - 4.00pm on one of these dates, then we need YOU. May Meeting Details
Our next meeting will be held on Tuesday,12th. May at 7.00pm. in a new venue: Gowrie Street Primary School in Balaclava Road, Shepparton. The Business Centre is unavailable on this night. Roadside planting project 2005
In conjunction with the Mansfield Shire, Howqua Valley Landcare group will be undertaking a project to clean up the weeds and revegetate the first two kilometres of the Howqua River road.
Landcare Mobile Enviro-care Unit
The Nestle - Landcare Mobile Enviro-care Unit was launched today at St Patricks Primary School Kilmore.
