The North West Mooroopna area consists manly of dairy farmers (about 70%) beef and orchards. We send out approximately 100 letters to landholders every two months.
To help recognize the salnity problem we have put in a network of more than 100 watertable watch wells, which are monitored. We have also planted over 100,000 trees in the area. Main arterial drains and all of five community dams have been installed.
How often do you meet?
The group meets the first Thursday of every second month at various venues.
