Strath Creek Landcare Group
Strath Creek Landcare Group prides itself on being fully self-funded, with an allocation always made for a BBQ lunch and a bit of vino after a hard days tree-planting. The focus of the group is revegetation of the King Parrot Creek, with members assisting other members with fencing, spraying and planting. As part of this project, they have started a bird monitoring committee to highlight the importance of shrubby understorey in revegetation projects. Members get a wonderful sense of community as well as a local icon restored to its natural condition. The group has 63 members and growing.
